When I first began this journey down the rabbit hole of enlightenment, the vast majority of people I was learning from were American (or Canadian). Most of them were middle aged or older. Whilst I didn’t have an issue with this (and age means nothing to me, even more so 18 months into this journey) during those first 6 months or so, I was in a constant battle to keep faith in what I was learning.
When you are a young, mixed-race male from a working-class family in England, with no prior experience or belief in anything spiritual, it’s kind of difficult to instantly buy into things like the law of attraction or anything that can’t be experienced with the 5 senses. So it helps at least in the beginning, to have one or two people who you can relate more easily to. Ralph Smart helped enormously with that, but it was another guy who REALLY resonated with me more than anyone else; ex-con, football hooligan and drug addict, turned yoga and transformational coach, Brett Moran!
Now I’m no football hooligan and have never been banged up! But he was the first person I’d ever heard speak about things of a spiritual persuasion who had come from a similar background (a rough English housing estate) and this immediately made everything I was learning seem more REAL. Like it wasn’t just some inaccessible, middle class, North American who kept name-dropping god. Here was a guy around my age, who had grown up on football and drugs and partying – and was creating the kind of life which I myself dreamed of.
Travelling the world. Following his passions. Helping others. Writing books. Living amongst stunning nature. When I discovered the beautiful shots of Thailand (Brett’s second home) on his YouTube channel, it instantly became part of my morning inspiration routine.
But there’s so much more to Brett Moran TV than picturesque drone shots.
Brett has a wealth of information gathered in the 15 years since a voice spoke to him in prison whilst high on crack (yes indeed sir!!) and told him he would get clean, write a book and go on to help others. It’s that knowledge of what it takes to transform your life into something special, that has kept me riveted for over a year now. What Brett gave me more than anything, was the belief that if he could transform his life around (an ordinary bloke from an ordinary estate, who had struggled with depression, anxiety and the temptations of drugs, as I have) and create the life he wanted, then so could I.
You’ll learn more about Brett in the video (an interview with another great YouTuber, Rick William) so won’t go into any more detail about him. But this is the video that introduced me to Brett. His own channel is BrettMoranTV. If you’ve been following me recently, you’ll know that I’ve actually met Brett over the summer and will be working with him in Thailand next year. So you’re gonna be hearing a lot more about him on this blog!
All I will add is this: if you are looking for inspiration and proof of how the law of attraction will work for you once you fully understand it, you will not find a better example than Brett Moran. He’s been creating his own action-packed, fulfilling life for years now and you can see for yourself on his channel, just how awesome it is. I still can’t get my head around the fact that I’m gonna be a part of it too – and yes, I created that myself!! It didn’t happen by coincidence……
