5 Amazing Coincidences: Or Are They? You Decide! (part 2)

In part one, I mentioned 5 anecdotes, seemingly amazing coincidences that happened during my spiritual awakening. But were they just coincidences? Or were they signs from an unseen force? The most amazing of these coincidences was the appearance of 333 on my gym locker – the day after I’d asked the universe for a numerological sign!

The number 3 apparently signifies growth, with 333 representing the trinity of mind, body and spirit. If you see 333, it means that you need to reconnect with what is in your soul. Your mind, body and spirit need working on but 333 is there to show that you are on the right path – it is a sign of encouragement and assistance. All of this makes perfect sense to where I was at the time. I was really struggling some days, unsure of what I was learning and if it could all be true. Other days, I was high as a kite, rejuvenated, grateful to be learning about the truth, and had faith that I could do anything.

However, the 333 never appeared more than once. Most people I’d read about, said it appeared consistently for a period of time. So it didn’t really make  a huge difference. If it had continued to happen, then I’d have been swayed 100%. It’s only now, a year later, that I am able to look back with a clear head and say that I do believe they were more than coincidences.

Note how these 5 things happen within 24 hours of me putting the initial thought out there. Three of those things, I  specifically asked for. OK, the car wasn’t my car but I wasn’t expecting to actually get a BMW – not for at least a few months, anyway! The pyramid and the vegan menu were more like signs that I’m going in the right direction. The phone call and the 333 – well, I got EXACTLY what I asked for!

CONFIRMATION BIAS?

Usually, with any sort of conversation like this, I bring up the psychological term “confirmation bias”. This is where a person looks for evidence to confirm the outcome they are more biased towards wanting to be correct. We all do it naturally. When we want a specific outcome to be proved in our favour, we overlook evidence which contradicts what we think/want, and put more weight on evidence that agrees with what we think or want.

You can argue that I wanted these incidents to be more than just coincidences; for sure, I’d love that. But I can honestly say that it doesn’t bother me if they aren’t. I wouldn’t be offended or upset if they turned out to be merely coincidental. I don’t think anyone can argue that certainly the pyramid meme, 333 and phone call are freakishly coincidental. The BMW and the vegan menu – OK, not freakish but definitely unusual.

However, put all 5 together, and within 6 months (so almost one a month), and all during my spiritual awakening, then that sways things quite a bit towards them being more than coincidental.

Unless you believe that the fact I was going through an awakening made it more likely that I would regard those things as more than coincidences.

How would I have felt if those things had happened 2 years ago, when I wasn’t having an awakening? Two years ago, I was not visualising to materialise anything, not considering becoming vegan and had never heard of 333! So the neighbour’s BMW, Dad’s meme, the vegan menu, the locker number and the phone call – none of these things would have meant anything. They all would have been an ordinary part of my day. The big question is, would they have still happened? Would the universe have been pulling those things towards me? Well 2 years ago, it wouldn’t have mattered because I wasn’t at a point in my life where I was ready for those messages. The messages to keep going on this particular path. I may well have been receiving SOME messages, though perhaps they were telling me I needed to get onto the path I’m on now? Or off the path I WAS on.

CONCLUSION

I’m of the  belief that we are ALWAYS receiving messages but unless we are open to them, we’ll never see them. However, I still don’t believe in fate. I believe we have different pathways that are mapped out for us but that we exercise free will at certain junctions, where we can decide our own destiny (as shown by seer Teal Swan in this post) . In other words, I think we have a choice in life. However, I think that we are meant to go down certain pathways – ones that will ultimately make us happy.

I believe that some force out there, wants us to go down those good pathways, maybe is trying to subtly get us moving towards those pathways. I think these “coincidences” may be signs that we are on the right path.

But it could also be a quantum physics thing. Maybe these things are being drawn to me in a vibrational way? Maybe it’s all frequencies and pure science?

What I take from it is this; our reality is so much more than what we can understand with our frankly, limited five senses. These “messages” or “signs” came at a time when I asked for them or was thinking about them, and during a time of great upheaval and stress, when I REALLY needed some signs to help me on my way. But what about all those times when I tried to manifest something, or needed an answer or encouragement, and I received nothing? I know for sure there have been times when that has happened. And this is the problem; we tend to remember the things that worked out, that stand out as unusual, but not the times when it didn’t go our way or nothing extraordinary happened.  Also, what if I DID receive a sign on those occasions, on EVERY occasion, but I just didn’t see it?

I believe “the universe” is always providing opportunities, signs, answers, whatever you want to call them, but it’s still down to us whether we notice them or not. The more “awake” a person is, the more likely they are to see those signs and act upon them – which explains why when we go through an awakening, we start to notice strange occurrences more. A sceptic would say they aren’t signs at all – we just interpret them as signs. But how many weird coincidences does a person need to experience before they give in and say “Nah, this is too many, it just HAS to be more than a coincidence!” 5? 10? 50?

Well if I needed more (and I did!), the last few weeks have provided them……stay tuned folks!!

  1. Nice cliffhanger Tim, I’m excited for you 🙂 I think you are right, the universe is always leaving is signs. We have to be open to them.

    1. Hello and thank you so much for your comment 🙂 I hope this cliffhanger leads to something very special for you to read!

  2. Whilst confirmation bias is definitely a real thing that most people are ignorant of, I do believe that we have guides (spirits, angels, the universe, god, whatever you want to call them) who are trying to put us on the right path. Believe in those signs Timothy. You are clearly a good person and good things are coming to you, you deserve them 🙂
